A couple of months ago, we set out to give our website a complete overhaul. After 10 years in business and a lot of changes behind the scenes, we felt it was time for the site to reflect where we are now — and where we’re heading.
As part of this redesign, we’ve not only given the site a fresh look (thanks to Sam King), but also introduced new services, streamlined the way people shop, and changed our name to reflect the fact that we’re no longer just delivering firewood to Sheffield. What started as The Log Shop Sheffield is now simply The Log Shop.
Here’s a quick look at what’s changed:
The old website had served us well, but it was starting to show its age. The new design keeps things clean and easy to navigate — whether you’re shopping from your mobile, tablet or desktop. We’ve made it quicker to browse categories, easier to compare products, and faster to checkout with express payment options such as Apple Pay.
This is about more than just a fresh coat of paint — it’s built to help our customers find what they need with less fuss.
One of the biggest changes we’re working on is nationwide delivery. While it’s not live just yet, it’s on the way — and we’re excited to open things up to customers across the UK.
For now, local delivery is available for free in S, WF and LS postcodes, or you can choose to collect your order from our Sheffield shop. As soon as nationwide delivery launches, we’ll update the site and let you know.
We’re now supplying wholesale kiln-dried logs to businesses, retailers, and other bulk buyers across the UK. After a decade of working with local customers, it was a natural step to open things up further.
Whether you’re a garden centre, a holiday park, a pub with a pizza oven, or anyone else who needs a regular supply of quality firewood — get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss trade pricing and options.
Another big addition is the blog area, where we’ll be sharing firewood tips, advice on getting the best burn from your stove, and occasional company updates. This is where we’ll post answers to common questions, guides for beginners, and news about anything new we’re working on.
It’s all about helping our customers get the most out of their firewood — whether you’re heating a home, cooking outdoors or running a business.
The new site is live, but we’re not done yet. Over the next few months, we’ll be making small adjustments and improvements based on feedback, and continuing to fine-tune the experience.
