Our Kiln-Dried Hardwood Builders Bag is a practical, efficient and more environmentally responsible way to buy your firewood in bulk.
Rather than delivering the logs in one traditional builders bag, we supply the equivalent quantity in 7 individual maxi bags, each containing approximately 0.08m³ of loose-filled logs.
A traditional builders bag measuring approximately 80cm × 80cm × 80cm has a nominal capacity of around 0.51m³. Our 7 maxi bags provide approximately 0.56m³ of loose-filled logs, so you receive at least the equivalent loose volume, simply divided into smaller, easier-to-handle bags.
Why do we deliver this way?
The maxi bags are easier to move, carry and store, with less mess than tipping or manoeuvring a large builders bag. There is also an important environmental benefit.
A delivery vehicle carrying traditional bulky builders bags can only accommodate a relatively small number before it runs out of space. By using maxi bags, we can utilise the vehicle much more efficiently and carry up to 90 bags on one load. At 7 maxi bags per builders bag equivalent, that's the equivalent of nearly 13 builders bags on a single delivery vehicle.
That means we can combine more customer deliveries into each route, reducing unnecessary journeys, fuel consumption and delivery miles per order.

We’re particular about the wood we supply, too. Our kiln-dried hardwood is available in Ash, Birch and Oak, carefully selected to give you a consistently high-quality log rather than a mixed bag of lower-grade hardwoods. Ash is an excellent all-round firewood with strong, steady heat, Birch lights readily and gives a lively flame, while Oak is dense and provides a longer, slower burn. Whichever species you choose, you’re getting quality kiln-dried firewood selected for the way it actually performs on your fire.
